TIMI Biostatistics Internship Applications Now Open for 2026–2027
The TIMI Study Group (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School) is now accepting applications for internships in biostatistics for the academic year 2026–2027.
We invite applications from current PhD students and postdoctoral fellows specializing in biostatistics, data science, or epidemiologic methods, with strong quantitative skills and proficiency in at least one statistical software (R, Stata, or SAS). This experience is especially valuable for students engaged in theoretical or methodological research who are looking to apply their work to real-world data. Interns will have the opportunity to work with the unique and extensive data resources of the TIMI Study Group, including data from over 80 clinical trials and several other sources, including biomarkers and genetics data.
Specific areas of interests include, but are not limited to:
- Methods for time-to-event (survival) data
- Applications of Machine Learning and Deep Learning in clinical epidemiology
- Clinical prediction modeling
- …and more. We welcome proposals for additional topics of interest.
🌍 International applicants are encouraged to apply. The department can sponsor a visa for qualified candidates, but please note that the process takes at least 6 months—plan ahead.
🔹 Applicants must have their own funding.
🔹 Internship duration: Minimum 6 months, maximum 12 months.
